TV-Series
Description
Dax is a main protagonist known for embodying a classic bad boy persona. He is a teenager of around fifteen to sixteen years old with a tall, athletic build, brown skin, short dreadlocked hair, and brown eyes. He typically wears a blue beanie and speaks with an Australian accent. An orphan, Dax grew up in the harsh environment of the Lowlands. His past is marked by tragedy, as the villainous Dr. Emmanuel Klipse attacked his hometown when Dax was a young boy, an event that resulted in the death of both of his parents. Following this, he was placed in an abusive orphanage from which he eventually escaped. These early experiences are the source of a deep-seated and immense grudge that he carries.

True to his appearance, Dax has a very cocky attitude and a rebellious spirit. He instinctively finds the need to challenge authority figures, which often puts him at odds with his teammates, especially the group's leader, Chase Suno. Upon first meeting the core group, his abrasive personality causes Chase, Jinja, Bren, and Beyal to dislike him. However, beneath this tough exterior, Dax can show a more caring and merciful side when a situation truly calls for it. He is fiercely loyal and protective, particularly regarding the safety of Jeredy Suno, Chase's father, whom he secretly works for. Despite his rebellious nature, he values the Suno family's safety quite a bit and attempts to be helpful wherever he is needed, often pulling strings from behind the scenes. He enjoys lightening the mood by pulling pranks on people or lightly teasing his friends, and he has a penchant for giving everyone nicknames that fit their character, such as calling Jinja "Princess," Chase "Little Suno," Beyal "Monk Boy," and Bren "Glasses."

Dax's primary motivation for much of the story is driven by his desire for revenge against Dr. Klipse. Beyond this, he is dedicated to his secret mission of helping Jeredy Suno destroy Monsuno Essence, a task that involves placing failsafe devices in locations around the world without the knowledge of the rest of the team. He also seeks a sense of belonging and trust, working hard to prove his reliability to his new friends.

In the story, Dax is the fifth member of Team Core-Tech, having spent the first season working under Jeredy Suno in secret. He debuts when the team travels to the Lowlands, where an accidental encounter quickly escalates into a Monsuno battle with Chase. After losing this battle, Dax swears revenge, setting up an initial rivalry. Despite this rocky start, he is destined to join the group, and Chase ultimately helps him get his revenge by defeating Dr. Klipse. Once on the team, Dax serves as a skilled and resourceful fighter, often leading the group or acting as a key strategist in missions against the forces of S.T.O.R.M. and Dr. Klipse. His role involves not just combat, but also deception and stealth; for example, he once pulled a dangerous stunt by pretending to betray the team in order to trap their enemy Charlemagne.

Dax's key relationships evolve significantly over time. His relationship with Chase begins as a rivalry built on a lost bet and a promise of revenge, but it eventually transforms into a strong, trusting friendship as they work together. He has a notable and one-sided romantic crush on Jinja, whom he constantly flirts with. He arrogantly and secretly becomes flustered when she shows no interest in him, especially as she seems more drawn to Beyal. His relationship with Dr. Klipse is purely antagonistic, defined by a mutual loathing and Dax's burning need for payback. He also becomes a loyal ally and protector to Jeredy Suno, acting on his orders and ensuring his safety.

Dax undergoes clear character development, moving from an untrustworthy and cocky stranger to a dependable and heroic friend. He does not keep grudges against his teammates for their initial mistrust of him, nor does he demand gratitude or apologies for his hard work. Instead, he gains their trust through his actions, consistently proving that his character is one of someone who attempts to be of help wherever he is needed. He shows a remarkable capacity to let go of past promises of revenge made in anger, such as one he made against Bren, and instead chooses to help him.

As a Monsuno Controller, Dax is highly skilled and commands several Monsuno. His primary and most notable Monsuno is Airswitch, a creature that reflects his own agile and combative nature. Over the course of the series, he also commands Boost, Bioblaze, Clubber, and Hyper Airswitch. At various points, he temporarily owns Whipper and Arachnablade, which he eventually gives to his teammates Jinja and Beyal, respectively. Physically, Dax is very strong and athletic, possessing the strength to easily stop a charging Jinja and restrain her.
