Misora Kasuga is student number nine in class 3-A at Mahora Academy. She is a hyperactive tomboy and an active member of the track and field club, where she builds a friendly rivalry with Asuna Kagurazaka in sprint races. She has short gray hair and gray eyes, and she often wears a crucifix; she is sometimes seen in a nun’s habit because she spends time doing chores at the local church. Her personality is mischievous and somewhat careless, and she is known for trying to remain incognito about her secret activities. When her classmates confront her, she will deny that she is the Misora they all know, though her attempts at secrecy are not very effective—Asuna, for instance, recognizes her immediately.

Misora is one of the many secret mages at the school. She disguises herself as a sister when she uses magic in public, and she is strongly determined to protect her secret identity, even if it does not always succeed. Later in the story, her magical abilities are revealed more clearly. Her artifact is a pair of super jet shoes, which enhance her already impressive speed and athleticism.

Her role in the story begins quietly; she does not have an active role early on, but she later emerges as a supporting character who can use magic alongside her classmates. Her motivations are tied to her desire to keep her magical life hidden while still being part of the group. She relates to her classmates, especially Asuna, through their shared athletic interests and the growing involvement of the class in magical events. She develops from a background student into a more active participant in the series’ adventures.
