Ai Bandou is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. She was born on July 23, 1984, in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Aoni Juku Tokyo School, specifically the 24th graduating class.
Bandou began her voice acting career in the mid-2000s, with her debut role being Misora Kasuga in the 2005 television anime adaptation of Mahō Sensei Negima!. This character became a signature role for her, which she reprised across numerous installments of the franchise for over a decade. Her portrayals of Misora Kasuga include the original television series, the OVA series Mahō Sensei Negima!: Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba and Mahō Sensei Negima!: Mō Hitotsu no Sekai, and the 2011 film Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final. She also voiced the character in the 2017 television anime UQ Holder!.
Beyond her long-running association with the Negima! series, Bandou has contributed voices to a variety of other anime productions. Her television anime credits include roles in Clannad as Sugisaka, Blue Drop as Sato Mie, and Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold as Helena's Sister. In the original video animation (OVA) format, she voiced Lena Bright in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. She also provided the voice for the character Shunrei in the Saint Seiya: The Hades Chapter - Elysion OVA.
