Before this event, Shigorō and his siblings orchestrated Kotani’s death after the boy sheltered Narumi during her attempted escape from their home. They collectively frightened Kotani to death, buried him, and later referenced "rolling him up tightly" during burial, as noted by Misako. This history contextualizes their dynamics but remains unadapted in the anime. Shigorō’s actions unfold solely within the sibling group, devoid of individual storylines.
