He complements his swordsmanship with the ability En, which he uses to detect enemies within a four‑meter radius, a range that defines the reach of his blade. During the events of Phantom Rouge, Nobunaga appears alongside Machi to confront a puppet of Uvogin that has been revived and controlled by Omokage, a former Phantom Troupe member. Together, they destroy the puppet and later withdraw, but not before warning Gon and Killua not to interfere in the Troupe’s personal score with Omokage. He joins the other Troupe members later when they arrive at Omokage’s hideout, though they ultimately decide to let Kurapika and Hisoka leave, choosing to settle those accounts another day. Throughout the film, Nobunaga’s motivations are driven by his dedication to the Troupe and his desire to avenge his fallen friend.
