Sven Fechner
Description
Sven Fechner is a German actor and voice actor known for his work in dubbing international productions, including a wide range of anime series and films. He was born on November 22, 1971, in Bad Gandersheim, Germany.
Fechner initially studied art and German studies at the Technical University of Braunschweig before pursuing acting. At the age of 25, he completed his acting training at the Theaterwerkstatt Mainz and subsequently performed in various theaters for 20 years. His transition to voice acting began in 2011 after participating in a microphone workshop led by voice actor Joachim Kunzendorf, who encouraged him to pursue opportunities in the industry. Following this, Fechner was accepted by a dubbing agency and started his voice-acting career, initially with ensemble recordings for background characters.
Within a few years, Fechner voiced approximately 400 dubbing roles. His extensive film and television dubbing work includes providing the German voice for Jason Momoa in Vendetta Rider, Damon Herriman as Charles Manson in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Michael James Shaw as Corvus Glaive in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He is also the recurring German voice for actors such as Tom Burke in the series Strike, Colton Dunn in Superstore, and Jason R. Moore in Marvel's The Punisher.
In the realm of anime, Fechner has lent his voice to numerous prominent series. He is the German voice for the role of Underpants Leader in the film Night is Short, Walk On Girl. His other notable anime voice roles include Gido in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and its spin-off The Slime Diaries, Lotus Whomalt in Black Clover, the Mayor in BEASTARS, and Squala in Hunter x Hunter (2011).
