Description
Caesar, whose real name is Suzuki Takako, is a supporting character and a second-year student at Ooarai Girls Academy. She is a key member of the school's Sensha-do team, specifically serving as the loader and the de facto leader of Team Hippo, also known as the History Girls. The team operates a Sturmgeschütz III assault gun, a vehicle without a rotating turret, a feature Caesar often notes with frustration during battles.

As her nickname suggests, Caesar has a profound and dedicated passion for history, with a specific focus on the Roman Empire. This interest is not superficial; it permeates her personality and daily life. She is often seen reading books on Roman history and has adopted a persona that reflects her admiration for the era. This passion is paired with a serious and ambitious attitude toward Sensha-do. Her dedication is demonstrated through intense personal training, such as building a makeshift shell-loading apparatus at home to practice her loader duties and improve her endurance for matches.

Caesar is a highly competent and reliable member of her team. Her most notable practical ability is her linguistic skill; she is fluent in Italian and Latin, which she considers common knowledge for a history enthusiast. This skill proves invaluable during the match against Anzio High School, where she translates Italian tank specifications and other strategic information to help her commander, Miho Nishizumi, formulate a battle plan. Her role as a loader requires physical strength and speed, and she performs this task with great efficiency, as seen during the close-quarters engagement with Anzio’s tankettes.

A significant aspect of her character is her relationship with Carpaccio, the vice-commander and loader of Anzio High School's team. They are revealed to be long-time childhood friends who address each other by their real names, with Carpaccio calling her "Taka-chan". This friendship is a key motivation for Caesar, adding a layer of personal stakes to the match against Anzio. After the battle, she firmly tells Carpaccio that she is no longer just "Taka-chan" but "Caesar," signifying how her experiences in Sensha-do have helped define her identity. Their bond remains strong, and Caesar is later seen cheering for Carpaccio and Anzio in subsequent tournaments.

While Erwin acts as the tank commander, Caesar is the recognized leader of Team Hippo. This distinction is subtly confirmed by her attendance at leader briefings and is officially clarified during the banquet following the Anzio match. Unlike some of her more eccentric teammates, she often serves as the voice of reason, providing a normal counterpoint to their more extreme historical role-playing. Throughout the series, from the initial practice matches to the larger tournaments in the film and Das Finale, Caesar remains a steadfast and developing member of the Ooarai team, consistently demonstrating her commitment through both her historical knowledge and her serious, dedicated approach to tank warfare.
