Aeka is a princess of the royal family of the planet Jurai. She has long violet hair and purple eyes, and carries herself with the modesty, elegance, and formal manners expected of her aristocratic upbringing. Despite this composed exterior, she can become loud, aggressive, and fiercely competitive, especially when provoked by her longtime rival, the space pirate Ryoko. Her feelings for Tenchi Masaki are deep and devoted, placing her in constant competition with Ryoko for his affection. She is also very protective of her younger sister, Sasami, and searches for her missing half-brother, Yosho. Aeka possesses considerable powers, including the ability to fire energy blasts, generate force fields for offense and defense, fly at high speeds, and exhibit superhuman strength. She can summon two humanoid guardians named Azaka and Kamidake to fight or contain enemies. She commands a living royal treeship named Ryu-Oh, which serves as her primary vessel for interstellar travel.
