Initially the Duke of Carmine and general of the Elfrieden Kingdom's land army, he earned renown as a formidable tactician and combatant. His stern, no-nonsense personality emphasized practicality and honor. He held a protective attitude toward Princess Liscia Elfrieden, treating her as a surrogate daughter during her military training.
During the One Week War, Georg and Castor Vargas rebelled against newly crowned King Kazuya Souma. Georg publicly justified his actions by questioning Kazuya's capability to rule and sheltering corrupt nobles stripped of their titles.
