Description
Georg Carmine, a lion beastman of imposing stature and muscular build, stands nearly two meters tall with a scar on his left cheek. His battle-hardened appearance conveys a fierce demeanor that commands respect and tension. Initially the Duke of Carmine and general of the Elfrieden Kingdom's land army, he earned renown as a formidable tactician and combatant. His stern, no-nonsense personality emphasized practicality and honor. He held a protective attitude toward Princess Liscia Elfrieden, treating her as a surrogate daughter during her military training.

During the One Week War, Georg and Castor Vargas rebelled against newly crowned King Kazuya Souma. Georg publicly justified his actions by questioning Kazuya's capability to rule and sheltering corrupt nobles stripped of their titles. He stated his intent was to test Kazuya's worthiness through combat, preferring a warrior's end before age diminished him. Unbeknownst to others, this rebellion was a calculated ruse. Acting on information from former queen Elisha about a timeline where corrupt nobles caused the kingdom's collapse, Georg deliberately gathered those nobles in his territory. He engineered his defeat by surrendering after Kazuya gained air superiority, ensuring their capture and execution.

Following his capture, Georg was imprisoned for treason. King Kazuya visited him privately, offering poisoned wine as an alternative to public trial and execution. Georg accepted and apparently died by suicide after expressing confidence in Kazuya's ability to protect the kingdom and Liscia. Evidence suggests his death was staged. He resurfaced as Kagetora, the masked leader of Kazuya's covert intelligence unit, the Black Cats. Kagetora matched Georg's physical stature and combat style, demonstrated loyalty to Kazuya, and showed familiarity with the royal family. During a mission in the Mercenary State of Zem, he dueled Mio Carmine—implied to be his daughter—and hinted at his true identity before departing. Kazuya later posthumously pardoned Georg for eliminating the corrupt nobles.

As Kagetora, he maintained absolute secrecy about his identity, wore a black tiger mask, and led field operations for the Black Cats. He gained notoriety for ruthlessness against enemy operatives.
