TV-Series
Description
Els is an Angora goat student at Cherryton Academy with white fur, a pale pink face, and backward-sloping horns. She wears the standard school uniform: a white blouse, bow tie, pleated white skirt featuring light blue accents, ankle socks, and black Mary Jane shoes, often paired with a backpack.
Her personality begins as highly nervous and cautious, especially around carnivores. This intense fear surfaces when she defensively brandishes scissors upon encountering Legoshi, convinced he intends to devour her following the murder of Tem, an alpaca student. Tem secretly harbored romantic feelings for Els, expressing them in love letters despite their limited prior interaction. Legoshi later delivers one of these letters to Els, prompting her to reassess both Tem and Legoshi.
Els moves beyond her initial wariness to form a trusting friendship with Legoshi. She actively defends his character to Carl, her former boyfriend prejudiced against carnivores, insisting Legoshi poses no threat to herbivores. Her intervention persuades Carl to provide Legoshi with Tem's diary. Els also maintains a friendship with Bill, built on shared manga interests. While Bill acknowledges her positive personality, he makes inappropriate remarks about her species. Els challenges Bill when he passively accepts the school's policy segregating carnivores and herbivores, confronting him about his past transgressions while affirming the drama club's continued trust.
After Louis departs, Els assists Bill with drama club leadership duties. Her approach to interspecies dynamics remains measured, balancing inherent herbivore vulnerabilities with a willingness to challenge prejudicial assumptions.
A recurring subtitle error in Netflix's release misidentifies her as an alpaca. Anime materials list her height as 126 centimeters.
