After the death of Maharaja Karn, his daughter Haman Karn became Mineva's regent and de facto leader of Axis Zeon. Haman subjected the young princess to an imperial education that instilled belief in the Zabi family's destiny to lead Spacenoids to prosperity, while also using her as a figurehead to legitimize Haman's authority over the various Zeon remnants. In Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, which unfolds during the First Neo Zeon War, Mineva is a young girl who nominally leads Neo Zeon but has no real power.
