Description
Panther Lily is an Exceed, a winged catlike race, who originally served the kingdom of Edolas as the First Division Commander of the Magic Militia of the Royal Army. In his native Edolas, he possessed a tall, muscular, anthropomorphic form resembling a black panther, with a white muzzle, small red eyes, and a scar running across his left eye. He wore battle armor and a cape befitting his rank. This large body later came to be called his battle form, because after arriving in Earth Land he was reduced to the small, bipedal black cat appearance typical of most Exceeds. He can temporarily shift back to his original massive size, but only for a short period of time, and the change is physically demanding.
Panther Lily's background is marked by an act of compassion that cost him his homeland. As a young Exceed living in Extalia, he saved the human prince of Edolas from danger and brought him to Extalia. The elders considered this treason, labeled him a Fallen, and exiled him. Despite this, he went on to serve in Edolas's royal military, and he remained on good terms with the prince he had rescued, who was known as Mystogan. Unlike many Exceeds in Edolas, who viewed themselves as superior to humans, Panther Lily never discriminated between the two races and treated everyone as equals, a conviction that shaped his friendships with Mystogan and his fellow soldier Coco.
In personality, Panther Lily presents a grumpy and brooding exterior, and he openly detests noisy people, often demanding that the hyperactive and loud members around him quiet down.
