He is a towering individual with a massively muscular physique, a bald head featuring a single curled lock of blond hair on his forehead, kind blue eyes, and a thick blond handlebar mustache. He is the eldest son of the prestigious Armstrong family, and his sisters include the formidable General Olivier Mira Armstrong. Despite his imposing build, Armstrong possesses a gentle, sensitive, and deeply emotional personality. He is compassionate towards citizens and subordinates, often moved to tears by sorrow or joy, and known for his theatrical speeches and the habit of removing his shirt to show off his muscles. A pacifist at heart, he hates violence but will fight with tremendous resolve to protect the weak. His background includes participation in the Ishval Civil War, the horrors of which left him traumatized and guilt-ridden over his perceived inaction. In the story, he serves as a loyal ally to the Elric brothers and Colonel Roy Mustang, offering both combat support and genuine care. In battle, he wears alchemical gauntlets with transmutation circles, allowing him to punch objects and instantly reshape them into projectiles, walls, or other forms.
