Description
Cinnamon Meilleure is a legendary witch in the magical world of Le Royaume and the mother of the protagonist, Chocolat Meilleure. Possessing striking platinum-blonde hair cut to chin-length and ruby-colored eyes, she is known for her remarkable beauty, which caught the attention of many men in both the human and magical realms. Her birthday is June 20, making her a Gemini, and she stands 167 centimeters tall. In a significant turn of events, after falling in love with Glacé, the Grand Duke of Darkness, she was transformed into a black cat familiar named Cernunnos, a form in which she lost the ability to speak because her magic was so powerful.

Cinnamon is described as an extroverted and strong-minded woman who, much like her daughter, can sometimes be careless. Her personality is also reflected in her noted specialty: the ability to make any man she meets for the first time kneel before her within five minutes. Despite her charm and popularity, she has a noted aversion to fluffy and cute animals. Her beliefs are progressive, as she demonstrated a conviction that love can transcend different races, which ultimately led to her relationship with Glacé. Her main motivation was to break a cycle of conflict; she aimed to end the battle with the Ogre in her own generation by going to Glacé, rather than passing the problem to the future. This drove her to make a solemn promise with her friend and rival, Candy Mieux, that Candy would take the throne if Cinnamon did not return from her mission to seal the evil powers of the Ogre leader.

Within the story, Cinnamon serves as a legendary and influential figure whose past actions directly shape the present conflict. She was a former Queen Candidate alongside Candy Mieux. Although she won the candidacy, she ultimately chose to sacrifice the throne and her freedom in order to pursue a path of peace with Glacé, leading to Candy becoming queen in her stead. Her role is intricately tied to her relationships. Her deep romantic connection with Glacé resulted in the birth of her daughter, Chocolat, making the Ogre King Chocolat's father. Her relationship with Candy Mieux was a complex blend of close friendship and fierce rivalry, a dynamic that mirrors the bond between their daughters, Chocolat and Vanilla.

Cinnamon’s development is largely revealed through the diary she left for Chocolat and the memories of other characters. Though initially believed to be dead, her diary explains her true fate: after two years in the human world during her own Queen's Exam, she decided to relinquish the throne to Candy and went to confront Glacé. The narrative concludes differently depending on the medium. In the manga, when Chocolat ultimately defeats Glacé, Cinnamon states, "We can finally become one," and disappears alongside him. In the anime adaptation, she survives the ordeal and, after witnessing her daughter's coronation as Queen, returns to the land of the Ogres. Throughout both versions, she is identified as one of the rare Filtre, or Purifiers, demonstrating her unique and notable magical abilities, which also include the powerful Cosmic Veil spell.
