Sakiko Uran is a Japanese actress and voice actor born on September 10, 1963, in Osaka Prefecture. Her real name is Sakiko Machida. She is affiliated with the theatre company Theatre Echo and, as of 2024, is also represented by the talent agency Aoni Production. Uran was raised in Tokyo from the age of three months and is a graduate of Toho Girls' High School.
Uran possesses a low, rich voice and is known for playing roles such as older sister or motherly figures. Her career spans animation, dubbing for foreign films and television series, and stage performances. In dubbing, she is the regular voice for actresses including Jennifer Tilly and Shu Qi. Her stage work includes productions such as The Odd Couple and Eight Women.
Among her extensive list of anime voice roles are Poisonny in Pretty Cure, Marumaro in Blue Dragon, Remi Aono in Fresh Pretty Cure!, and Jinny in One Piece.
