Description
Munemune, also referred to as Mune-mune, is a young woman encountered by Sasshi and Arumi as they travel through the various alternate dimensions of the Abenobashi Shopping Arcade. She appears to be in her late teens or early twenties, with long red hair and blue eyes. Her origin is tied to a tragic love story from the Heian period involving the onmyoji Abe no Seimei, his friend Masayuki, and Masayuki's wife Mune. After a forbidden affair led to a double murder, Seimei used a forbidden ritual to transfer their souls into a new world, resulting in the creation of the Abenobashi Shopping Arcade and the existence of Munemune as a recurring figure in the parallel worlds.

Her personality is generally cheerful and bubbly, though she can shift between being helpful and hostile toward the protagonists. She has a strong fondness for revealing clothing and a dislike of snails. Her primary motivation is the search for a mysterious, blue-haired man named Eutus, to whom she is deeply attached. She traverses the dimensions hoping to find him and be reunited with him.

In the story, Munemune serves as a recurring character who sometimes aids and sometimes hinders Sasshi and Arumi. She is one of the few constants across the changing worlds, and her connection to Eutus becomes a key part of the overarching mystery. Her relationship with Eutus is central to her character; she is devoted to him and often acts in ways that bring her closer to him. Her interactions with the main characters vary, but she generally treats them with a playful, if erratic, attitude.

Throughout the series, Munemune does not undergo a significant personal transformation, but her role in the narrative deepens as the historical background is revealed. She is a manifestation of the ancestral Mune's love and longing, which explains her persistent search across dimensions. As for notable abilities, Munemune does not display any particular supernatural powers; her significance lies in her connection to the magic that created the parallel worlds and her function as a guide or obstacle for the main characters.
