Description
Hinaichigo is the sixth doll of the Rozen Maiden series, a collection of mystical living dolls created by the enigmatic craftsman Rozen. She is distinguished as the youngest and most childlike of the sisters in both appearance and behavior. Hinaichigo has blonde, curled hair that frames a small face with large green eyes, and she typically wears an outfit with a prominent pink theme, including ribbons and a dress with a white puffy skirt.

Her personality is the very embodiment of childishness. Hinaichigo is innocent, playful, and often naive, making her easily tricked, especially by her sister Suiseiseki. She can be selfish and prone to emotional outbursts, including crying, which can irritate those around her. Despite this, she has the best intentions for those she cares about and possesses a genuine, endearing sweetness. A deep-seated fear of being abandoned and left alone is a core part of her character, stemming from her previous master, Corinne Fausset in France, who was forced to leave her behind and never returned. This past trauma heavily influences her actions and fears, as she desperately desired to keep her new master, Tomoe Kashiwaba, with her forever.

In the story, Hinaichigo initially appears as a doll delivered to Tomoe, a student at the same school as the protagonist Jun Sakurada. Her desperate fear of loneliness led her to drag Tomoe into her N-field, a dream-like world filled with giant toys, intending to play with her endlessly. After being confronted by her sister, Shinku, and realizing that her actions were draining the life from Tomoe, Hinaichigo conceded defeat in the Alice Game. Shinku, instead of taking her Rosa Mystica, spared her and made Hinaichigo her servant, allowing her to stay at Jun's house and draw energy from him indirectly. Her main motivation shifts from winning the Alice Game to simply wanting to play and live peacefully with her sisters, particularly Shinku, whom she looks up to, and with Jun and his sister Nori, who become a surrogate family to her.

Her key relationships are central to her development. With Shinku, she begins as an adversary but becomes a loyal, if occasionally mischievous, servant and younger sister figure. She has a fondness for Jun, who often finds her antics annoying but gradually comes to care for her, and she adores Nori for her kindness. She frequently quarrels with Suiseiseki, who loves to play tricks on her, but shares a friendlier, more playful dynamic with Kanaria. Her bond with Tomoe is significant, representing the relationship she lost and later comes to terms with.

Throughout various series and adaptations, Hinaichigo demonstrates notable growth from a purely selfish and destructive child into a more courageous and selfless individual. In the 2004 anime, she faces her demise with acceptance, spending her final happy moments with Tomoe. In the manga, she is destroyed by the sinister seventh doll, Kirakishou, but displays immense courage in her final moments, sending her Rosa Mystica to Shinku with a plea to end the tragic game. Her spirit and memory continue to protect others even after she is gone.

Regarding abilities, Hinaichigo can manifest and manipulate magical strawberry vines from the ground to restrain or ensnare opponents. Within her N-field, she can control and animate giant toys to attack her foes. She fights alongside her artificial spirit, known as Berrybell, a small pink entity that serves as her partner and messenger.
