Description
Mugen is one of the two main male protagonists from the anime Samurai Champloo, alongside the ronin Jin. His name translates to infinity or limitless, and he has no known family name. He was born on the Ryukyu Islands, a region used as a penal colony for exiled criminals, and he never knew his parents. His early life was defined by brutal survival, as he had to kill many people simply to stay alive in that harsh environment. He eventually became a pirate and a criminal before escaping to mainland Japan, where he worked as a wandering sword for hire.
