Oscar Muñoz

Description
Óscar Muñoz is a Spanish voice actor known for his extensive work dubbing foreign films, television series, and video games into Spanish, particularly for the Catalan and Spanish markets. Born Óscar Muñoz David on March 23, 1966, in Barcelona, Spain, he is the younger brother of fellow voice actor Pep Antón Muñoz. He is considered to be completely specialized in dubbing, with no public record of work on stage, on screen, or in television studios.

Muñoz's voice is typically associated with young adult and adolescent characters. He is best known as the regular Spanish dubbing voice for actors Elijah Wood and Hayden Christensen. His work includes voicing Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies, and Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel films Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. In addition to these signature roles, he has provided the Spanish voice for a wide range of actors including Oscar Isaac, Josh Lucas, Ryan Reynolds, Adam Scott, and, in a new 2005 dub of the film The Fury of the Dragon, for Bruce Lee.

In the realm of anime and animation, Muñoz has performed several notable roles. In the Catalan-language dub of the long-running series Detective Conan, he is the voice of the teenage detective Shinichi Kudo. A unique aspect of this role is that, while the child form of the character, Conan Edogawa, is voiced by Joël Mulachs, Muñoz provides Shinichi's voice for Conan's internal monologues and thoughts, and also speaks for him when Conan uses his voice-changing bowtie to sound like his older self. His other anime voice work includes roles such as Kaito Kid in the Spanish dub of the early episodes of Detective Conan, the character Vincent Law in Ergo Proxy, and Uryū Ishida in the 2018 Spanish dub of Bleach. He has also contributed voices to the Catalan dub of Crayon Shin-chan.

Beyond his acting roles, Muñoz has also worked as a sound technician and is a frequent voiceover artist for television commercials, such as for the frozen food brand La Sirena.
