Description
Curtis Newton, known as Captain Future, is the protagonist of the 1978 anime series based on the classic American pulp hero. He was born in a secret laboratory hidden in the Tycho Crater on the Moon to scientists Roger and Elaine Newton. His parents had fled Earth to escape the criminal Victor Corvo, but Corvo tracked them down and murdered them, leaving the infant Curtis an orphan. Before dying, Elaine entrusted her son to the care of her husband’s colleague, the brilliant scientist Simon Wright.
As a living brain preserved in a transparent, life-support case, Simon Wright became Curtis’s primary mentor.
