Minoru Edajima is the uncle of Kei Kusanagi, the protagonist of Please Teacher!, and the doctor who runs the local clinic. He provides Kei with a place to live after Kei moves away from home following a three-year comatose standstill caused by his sister's suicide. As a physician, Minoru is professionally competent, but in his personal life he is defined by a lecherous and outspoken personality.
