TV-Series
Description
Geo Metro serves as the subcommander of the Autozam battleship NSX during the events of Magic Knight Rayearth 2. Hailing from the planet Autozam, he holds the rank of second-in-command, a position that places him directly under the command of Eagle Vision, the mission's leader. Physically, Geo is notably tall, standing over two meters in height, with a strong and imposing build. His appearance is marked by short, dark hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive cross-shaped scar on his chin. He wears a practical outfit consistent with his military role, typically consisting of a white roll-sleeved shirt beneath a green tank top and loose working pants, and he sports a device on his headband that converts mental power into energy.

Geo's personality is outgoing and brash, yet it is complemented by a wise and deeply caring nature. Despite his tough exterior, he has a well-known sweet tooth and is extremely fond of candy, maintaining stashes of sweets throughout the NSX. In stark contrast, he has a strong aversion to alcohol and cannot drink it at all. He is also skilled at cooking, a domestic ability that contrasts with his role as a frontline warrior.

His primary motivation throughout the series is his unwavering loyalty and protectiveness toward Eagle Vision. As Eagle's closest friend, Geo acts as his confidant and general caretaker, often worrying about his commander’s reckless behavior and declining health. He frequently questions Eagle's judgment, particularly the decision to invade Cephiro, a mission he is not enthusiastic about. This internal conflict is deepened by the fact that Geo is also a good friend of Lantis, making the conquest project a source of personal distress for him. Nevertheless, Geo remains a disciplined soldier who follows orders, though he draws the line at actions that would endanger his commander's safety.

Within the Autozam contingent, Geo acts as a stabilizing force. He forms a good-natured and teasing friendship with the much younger Zazu, and the two get along well despite their age difference. His role is often that of a strategist and a voice of reason, needing to take control of operations when Eagle acts impulsively or disappears from his duties to engage the enemy directly. Throughout the story, Geo grows increasingly suspicious that Eagle is hiding a painful secret, correctly intuiting that something is wrong as his commander experiences bouts of coughing and falling asleep. Upon learning the truth about Eagle's fatal illness and his true motivations for seeking the Pillar system, Geo tries to stop him from proceeding toward his doom, though he ultimately fails in both the manga and anime adaptations.

In terms of abilities, Geo is an excellent fighter and is considered the best warrior in Autozam. He possesses no inherent magical powers, but his combat skills, piloting ability, and tactical competence make him a formidable opponent. He demonstrates his prowess by single-handedly holding off the Magic Knights Umi and Fuu in their Mashins. Geo pilots his own personal mecha, the GTO, which is designed for long-distance combat and equipped with powerful beam cannons and harpoon-like weapons called harkens. In the anime version, after Eagle forges a truce with Clef, Geo is granted full command and leads the NSX to intervene in the final battle against Debonair, providing support to the Magic Knights.
