Description
Charlotte Daifuku is a prominent character from the One Piece series, known as the third son and fourth child of the Charlotte Family. He is one of the elite officers of the Big Mom Pirates and holds the position of Minister of Beans in Totto Land, governing over Poripori Island. Daifuku is the middle triplet, born alongside his brothers Katakuri and Oven. He is a large, tall man with an imposing presence, standing 489 centimeters. He is marked by his distinctive appearance, sporting yellow hair, a small mustache, and earrings. He typically wears a blue, puffy-sleeved coat with what appears to be mochi-shaped shoulder pads, a yellow sash, and a large cloth wrapped around his waist that features a design reminiscent of a magic lamp or oil lantern.

Daifuku is characterized by a harsh, no-nonsense personality. He is extremely task-oriented, believing that mission success is paramount, and he treats failure with open contempt, even among his own family. This is most clearly demonstrated when his sister Pudding fails to assassinate Sanji; Daifuku slaps her aside, calls her useless, and decides to take matters into his own hands. He is ruthless and aggressive in combat, preferring to eliminate his enemies as quickly and decisively as possible. When focused on a target, he can become reckless, showing little regard for his surroundings or even his own subordinates. While pursuing the rabbit mink Carrot, he was so intent on destroying her that he allowed his summoned genie to smash through several of his own fleet's ships. Despite his cruel streak towards those who underperform, he maintains a good relationship with his immediate triplet brothers, Katakuri and Oven, with whom he is frequently seen cooperating and has shared moments of camaraderie.

In the larger narrative, Daifuku serves as a formidable barrier for the Straw Hat Pirates during the Whole Cake Island Arc. He is present at the disastrous wedding between Sanji and Pudding, where he attempts to kill Sanji after Pudding fails. Throughout the escape from Totto Land, he is a persistent pursuer, using his fleet to chase the Thousand Sunny and engaging in combat with Sanji, Carrot, and members of the Sun Pirates. He is noted by other characters as a "monster" within the crew, placing him among the most dangerous fighters in Big Mom's army. His loyalty to the Big Mom Pirates is evident as he later accompanies his mother to the Wano Country, participating in the assault on Kaido's territory. During the confusion following Big Mom's disappearance in Wano, Daifuku demonstrates his strategic thinking by advocating for his brother Katakuri to take over as captain, arguing that strength and capability should determine leadership, and clashing with his elder brother Perospero over the succession.

Daifuku's combat prowess comes from a combination of a powerful Devil Fruit and Haki. He ate the Hoya Hoya no Mi, a Paramecia-type fruit that allows him to summon a massive, weapon-wielding genie. By rubbing his body, typically his midsection, he conjures this being from the lamp-like pattern on his sash. The genie is composed largely of smoke, granting it some intangibility, and fights using a large halberd. It possesses incredible physical strength, capable of swatting away attacks from skilled fighters like Sanji and using its blade to cleave through entire ships with ease. The creature has a will of its own but follows Daifuku's commands. In addition to his Devil Fruit, Daifuku is proficient in both Armament and Observation Haki, which he uses to strengthen his own defenses and those of his summoned genie. His abilities, combined with his relentless and vicious approach to battle, make him a significant threat and a trusted enforcer for the Big Mom Pirates.
