Description
Laki is a Shandian warrior who appears in the Skypiea arc of One Piece. She is a member of the Shandia tribe, a proud group of people originally from the land of Jaya, which was lifted into the sky and became the Upper Yard of Skypiea. As a warrior, she fights to reclaim her ancestral homeland from Enel, the self-proclaimed god of Skypiea, who rules over the Upper Yard with his army. Laki is a tall woman with black hair, parted bangs, and a long ponytail. Like all Shandia, she has two small wings on her back. She typically wears a light tunic that reveals her midriff and light-red pants, and she uses a gun as her primary weapon in battle.

Laki is depicted as fierce, loyal, and protective, especially toward her fellow tribe members. She is one of the warriors under Wiper's command, serving as part of his guerilla unit that conducts covert operations against Enel's forces. Her deep commitment to her people and their cause drives her actions throughout the conflict. She is close friends with the warrior Kamakiri and the young girl Aisa, whom she also protects. Her protective nature is evident when she attempts to warn Wiper that Enel cannot be killed during the Survival Game, a confrontation that results in her being defeated by Enel, though she later recovers after the conflict ends.

Laki's role in the story is that of a supporting character who contributes to the Shandia resistance. She participates in the defense of the Upper Yard and in skirmishes against Enel's priests. Her bravery and resilience reflect the spirit of the Shandia tribe in their long struggle to reclaim their land. After the conclusion of the Skypiea arc, Laki is last seen taking a walk on the Vearth, the restored soil of the Upper Yard, alongside Norla, Conis, and Aisa, indicating a period of peace for her people. She does not appear prominently in later arcs, and her character shows no significant development beyond her role in the Skypiea story. Her notable abilities include marksmanship with her gun and her knowledge of the terrain of the Upper Yard, which aids her in combat and reconnaissance.
