Description
Sōjirō Seta is a human Samurai and Master Swordsman within the Elder Tale game world. He serves as the guild master of the West Wind Brigade and was formerly a member of the legendary adventuring group known as the Debauchery Tea Party.

Sōjirō possesses long dark teal hair typically tied in an Edo-period ponytail. His battle attire consists of red samurai armor worn over a light blue haori decorated with gold diamond patterns, a purplish blue kimono, and a green checkered scarf. For specific operations like the Shibuya Raid, he switches to a white kimono featuring a red dragon symbol on the right shoulder.

His personality is marked by extreme popularity with female players, though he shows no romantic interest due to an obsessive focus on gaming and Elder Tale. He consistently protects women in danger and reacts with murderous intent toward anyone harming guild members. Despite courteous treatment, this protectiveness stems from innate nature rather than kindness or attraction. He disregards advice from women like Nazuna while valuing counsel from male figures such as Shiroe or Kazuhiko. He admits to limited analytical ability but occasionally reaches insightful conclusions.

Before the game's real-world transition, Sōjirō began playing with a real-life friend but later separated. He joined the Debauchery Tea Party after participating in several raids with them. Following the transition, he initially expressed excitement about being trapped in the game world. He demonstrated leadership by defending vulnerable players, such as intervening when Isami faced criticism from other adventurers. He also grappled with understanding others' fear during combat, leading to heartfelt apologies to guild members for his initial insensitivity.

Key developments include his vengeful pursuit of the murderer after Kyouko's death, engaging in a duel despite being out-leveled. He showcased his unique Overskill "Clairvoyance," which predicts attack trajectories for evasion or parrying. Though defeated and killed in this encounter, he later entrusted the situation to the Akiba Raid Party. During the Camaysar incident, he protected hypnotized guild members and personally defeated the Genius, noting it felt like fighting a traditional game enemy.

In the "Destruction of the Round Table" arc, he was drawn into a dungeon replica of Akiba created by the Genius Eirenus. His level was forcibly reduced to 35 due to the Teacher System's manipulation while facing level 65 raid-rank enemies. Relying on his evasion-focused Overskill, he survived longer than veterans like Shiroe and Isaac. Upon encountering Minori's raid party, he used "Samurai's Challenge" to divert enemy groups, enabling their advance toward Eirenus' location. After defeat and resurrection, he reported the raid party's progress to senior Log Horizon members.

Politically, he aligned with Raynesia's faction during the Akiba General Election, aiding the establishment of the New Round Table Council.

His combat abilities feature the Overskill "Clairvoyance" for attack prediction, alongside skills like "Instant Desertion" for temporary invulnerability and "Dim Crossing" for slowing opponents. He wields the Fantasy-class weapon "Sacred Sword Kogarasumaru," which summons an AI incarnation for battle support. Other notable equipment includes the "Dragonfly Bead of Cataclysmic Change" for movement-impediment resistance and "The New Emperor’s Warrior Armor" for curse absorption.
