Description
In the anime film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, Harley Quinn is a returning character from the previous installment, Batman Ninja. Her visual design in this sequel undergoes a significant shift from her earlier samurai-inspired aesthetic to one influenced by modern Japanese youth subcultures. She is depicted wearing a long skirt and adopts the posture associated with yankee or sukeban styles, which are often linked to Japanese delinquents and bikers. Her look also incorporates elements that evoke a trickster figure, with one description likening her appearance to that of a wild jester.

As a character, Harley Quinn is portrayed as highly aggressive and free-spirited, acting as the primary partner and associate of the Joker. Her personality leans into chaotic and unrestrained behavior, and the performance of the role is described as being executed with complete freedom, emphasizing her unpredictable nature. She is identified in the film by the alias Harin, the Wild Jester.

A key facet of Harley’s role in the narrative is her relationship with an alternate version of Wonder Woman named Daiana, the Eagle Goddess, who leads the Amazone family. Within the story, Daiana serves as a protector for Harley, and Harley is noted to have developed a romantic crush on Daiana. This dynamic becomes an important part of her character arc in the altered world of the film. Her story is said to parallel that of Dick Grayson, the first Robin, with her portrayal evoking the famous introduction of Robin but with Daiana taking the place of Batman and Harley in the role of the young apprentice.

Regarding her background and motivations, Harley is a unique case in the film’s narrative. She is not an alternate universe version of herself but rather the same Harley Quinn from Batman's original timeline. She is not a native of the yakuza-ruled world of Hinomoto but instead traveled there and decided to become a yakuza simply for the fun of it. At one point in the story, she escapes from prison alongside the Joker.

In terms of abilities, she is shown to be a capable fighter, wielding her signature weapon, a large bat with nails driven through it, which fits the aggressive and brutal tone of her character design. The film’s creative team has highlighted her as one of the most aggressive characters, suggesting a proficiency in physical, brawling-style combat.
