Description
Shizuka Sakaki initially declined joining Kaminoyama High School's animation club, doubting its seriousness, but later participated after witnessing Ema Yasuhara's artistic skill. She had already chosen a voice acting career path before joining the club. After graduation, she became a voice actress affiliated with Akaoni Productions. Her career faced significant challenges, including long periods without work, leading her to support herself with a part-time waitress job at Matsutei, a traditional Japanese bar. Early auditions yielded only minor roles, such as a female student in *The Prince of Baseball*. Rejection for the role of Catherine in *Third Aerial Girls Squad* brought discouragement, though she later secured the role of Lucy, Catherine's sister, in the same series – her first notable achievement.

Shizuka maintained a calm, reserved demeanor, rarely displaying strong emotions openly, even during professional setbacks. She consistently demonstrated perseverance and a strong work ethic, striving to improve despite rejections. Her friend Mari Tateo, also at Akaoni Productions, served as a confidante during difficult times. Known among close friends by the nickname "Zuka," she possesses a low tolerance for alcohol. In later developments within the movie timeline, she transitioned to a secondary role as a reporter covering voice actor news while retaining her Akaoni affiliation and concurrently ended her job at Matsutei. During the production of *Aerial Amphibious Assault Ship SIVA*, she successfully auditioned for and obtained a lead voice acting role, indicating professional progression.

Shizuka has wavy red hair typically tied in a messy bun and blue eyes. She is frequently depicted wearing a turquoise jacket over a white shirt, a dark pink waist-high skirt, brown heels, and white socks. Her surname, Sakaki, combines the characters for "slope" (坂) and "tree" (木).
