OVA
Description
Kazushi Tatsuishi is the eldest son of Minoru Tatsuishi and the older brother of Kouji Tatsuishi. Following his father's disgraceful actions, Kazushi becomes the new head of the Tatsuishi family, a once-proud noble house whose status has been in decline. His family has a long-standing connection to the Saimori family, with their estates located near one another in the Imperial Capital.

Physically, Kazushi has an easy-going and confident posture. He has lavender pink hair with light curls that reaches his lower neck and sharp facial features. His manner of dress is notably unique and flamboyant, often seen wearing informal but fancy nagagi-style kimonos and geta, which contrasts sharply with the more minimalist style of his younger brother.

Kazushi possesses a personality that blends a naturally friendly and pleasant demeanor with a high degree of emotional intelligence. He appears carefree, aloof, and merry in everyday interactions, but can seamlessly switch to a serious, formal, and respectful mode when the situation requires it, such as in the presence of the Imperial Prince. Behind this laid-back exterior, he is a sharp observer, perceptive of others' true natures, and possesses a quiet strength, independence, and a personal sense of honor that allows him to question his family's unjust actions. He shows kindness to his brother and encourages him to act bravely.

As a member of a distinguished Gifted family, Kazushi possesses supernatural abilities, though his own specific Gift is not very strong or flexible. To compensate for this and fulfill his duties as the future family head, he has diligently honed other skills. He has learned almost all basic forms of martial arts. His most notable technique is dispelling, the ability to undo curses or magical techniques on living people. He successfully uses this to free his brother Kouji from their father's binding spell. However, his dispelling has limits, as he fails to remove a powerful curse of the dead from an unconscious man and later from Kiyoka Kudou. He also possesses the ability to see Grotesqueries, a power known as Spirit-Sight, and can deploy familiars. Another technique he uses playfully is silencing, which can magically seal a person's mouth shut.

Kazushi's role in the story becomes more prominent after his father's failed plot. While Minoru Tatsuishi attempted to kidnap Miyo Saimori to secure her Usuba bloodline for the family's benefit, Kazushi acts differently. When his father restrains Kouji to prevent him from interfering, Kazushi frees his brother and effectively enables the rescue of Miyo. Following Minoru's defeat and subsequent removal, Kazushi steps in as the new head of the Tatsuishi family to take responsibility. He appears before the Imperial Prince to offer a formal apology for the chaos his family caused and accepts the stricture of coming under the supervision and command of Kiyoka Kudou's family, vowing to restore the Tatsuishi name's honor.

His key relationships are defined by contrast. With his father Minoru, he demonstrates disobedience for the sake of what is right, actively working against his schemes. With his brother Kouji, he is supportive and encouraging, using his abilities to help him. With Kiyoka Kudou, he becomes a collaborator, accepting the Kudou family's oversight and working alongside him. His perception of Miyo Saimori evolves significantly. In their youth, he saw her as a gloomy, unremarkable shadow, incompatible with her own family. After her engagement to Kiyoka and subsequent personal growth, Kazushi notices a profound change; he later finds her elegant and calm, more beautiful than any woman he has met, recognizing that she is no longer shameful. Kazushi is noted to have originally been intended to be engaged to Miyo before the proposal from the Kudou family was accepted.
