Description
Mineva Lao Zabi, the last surviving member of the Zabi family founders of the Principality of Zeon, was born on September 2, U.C. 0079 to Dozle and Zenna Zabi. Conflict defined her early years; she evacuated from Solomon during the One Year War and fled to Axis after A Baoa Qu fell. Following her mother's death in U.C. 0081, guardianship passed to Maharaja Karn and later his daughter Haman Karn, who became her regent.

Haman Karn imposed an imperial education on Mineva, designed to instill loyalty to Zeon's ideals and prepare her for leadership, emphasizing the Zabi right to rule Spacenoids. Mineva gradually developed reservations about these militaristic principles. She served as a figurehead for Axis Zeon during the Gryps Conflict in U.C. 0087 while Haman Karn wielded actual power. Mineva later disappeared from Axis under circumstances suggesting Char Aznable's involvement, escaping Haman's control. A body double replaced her during the First Neo Zeon War.

By U.C. 0096, Mineva surfaced within the Neo Zeon remnant "Sleeves," adopting the alias Audrey Burne to oppose their violent methods. To prevent the Vist Foundation from handing Laplace's Box to the Sleeves, she stowed away aboard the Garencieres to Industrial 7. There, Banagher Links rescued her during an accident. Their partnership became central to the Laplace Incident as Mineva sought to expose the box's contents—the original Universal Century Charter—to foster transparency and peace.

Throughout the crisis, Mineva rejected Full Frontal's vision of Spacenoid supremacy via the Side Co-Prosperity Sphere, arguing it perpetuated conflict and betrayed Char Aznable's nuanced views on human evolution. Her actions culminated in publicly revealing the charter's Article 15, acknowledging Newtypes and their rights.

In U.C. 0097, a year after the Laplace Incident, Mineva monitored the Federation's Operation "Phoenix Hunt" and the Republic of Zeon's efforts to capture the rogue RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex. While not directly intervening, she criticized Republic Minister Monaghan Bakharo's ambitions and later oversaw the sealing of the original Unicorn Gundam to guard against its psycho-frame's unpredictable power.

Mineva's character embodies pacifism and a rejection of her family's legacy. Unlike other Zabis, she chose reconciliation over conquest, using political acumen to advocate peace between Spacenoids and Earthnoids. Her experiences under Haman Karn granted strategic insight directed towards diplomacy. Relationships with figures like Banagher Links and Haman Karn further shaped her commitment to ending cycles of conflict, emphasizing moral courage over hereditary duty.
