Description
Hideki Nogi is the CEO of the Nogi Group, a major Kengan Association corporation with origins dating back to 1650 as "Nogiya," boasting a record of 1,857 victories and 453 losses in Kengan matches. He serves as the 59th chairman of the Kengan Association, a position secured after the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. His pursuit of the chairmanship fulfilled a deep-seated Nogi family obligation: repaying a debt to the Yamashita family stemming from the disappearance of Yamashita Ichinoshin, a commitment solidified five years before the tournament upon discovering Yamashita Kazuo working at a Nogi Group subsidiary.

Nogi possesses a shrewd and experienced personality, adept at identifying and exploiting useful qualities in others for strategic gain. He demonstrates keen perception in combat dynamics, analyzing and predicting fighter movements. His cunning extends to outmaneuvering rivals within the Association, including Hayami Katsumasa, evident in recruiting Kazuo as Tokita Ohma's manager and orchestrating shell companies like Yamashita Trading Co. and SF Cold Storage.

In appearance, Nogi presents as an esteemed older gentleman with slicked-back black hair, visible wrinkles, and consistently wears formal, high-quality attire.

As sponsor of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, Nogi initially chose Hatsumi Sen over Tokita Ohma as the Nogi Group's representative, provoking Ohma's anger. Nogi then created Yamashita Trading Co. with Kazuo as president to provide Ohma an alternative entry path. Throughout the tournament, he employed tactics like hiring Honma Kiyoshi to target Yoshitake Yoshiro—a diversion revealed to aid Hatsumi Sen's advancement—and actively supported Hatsumi's research on opponents like Bando Yohei. After Hatsumi's defeat, Nogi urged Kazuo to withdraw Ohma, disclosing the historical debt to the Yamashitas. Kazuo's refusal forced Nogi to witness Ohma continue to the finals, where Ohma lost.

Post-tournament, Takakaze Kirimi nominated Nogi for the chairmanship. In the Kengan Omega era, Nogi faces new challenges, including negotiating a merger between the Kengan Association and Purgatory to be decided by a tournament. He appointed Kazuo to oversee the Association's fighters, participates in high-stakes discussions with Purgatory's Toyoda Idemitsu, and collaborates closely with former chairman Katahara Metsudo to counter threats like the Worm organization, which infiltrated both groups. During the tournament, Nogi confronted Kure Erioh about Kure Raian's lethal actions and successfully pressured Toyoda to eliminate the "first pick rule" before a critical match.

Nogi favors Montecristo cigars. His surname derives from Japanese: "no" (乃, "from") and "ki/gi" (木, "tree/wood"), while "Hideki" combines "hide" (英, "excellent") and "ki" (樹, "tree").
