Description
Yutaka Itazu, nicknamed "Pantsu" due to an alternate reading of his surname's kanji and an incident where his sole pair of drying pants blew away, is a reclusive NEET and highly skilled hacker. This event led to his withdrawal from society and two-year confinement within his small apartment, halting his university attendance despite prior diligence. He maintains strict isolation, refusing visitors and demanding they leave.

Previously recognized as a hacking prodigy feared in technology circles, his expertise includes advanced system analysis and cybersecurity. He first appears in the series' eighth episode, joining the "Eden of the East" group – operators of an image recognition search engine and social networking service – where his technical skills provide critical advice and system enhancements.

His pivotal role emerges when analyzing specialized phones used by Seleção participants, including Akira Takizawa's device and the deceased Yūsei Kondō's phone. This analysis uncovers critical data about the "Careless Monday" missile attacks, exonerating Takizawa. He later discovers an impending launch of sixty additional missiles orchestrated by Seleção members Daiju Mononobe and Ryō Yūki. Before fully relaying this, Mononobe deliberately runs him over. Severely injured, he survives hospitalization and transmits the Seleção request database to the Eden team.

Post-recovery, he continues collaborating with Eden of the East, upgrading systems and developing new capabilities. His technical contributions include creating "Airship," a program integrated into the Eden platform instrumental during the climax for mass communication across Japan.

In *Paradise Lost*, he remains active with Eden, refining monitoring systems to track Seleção activities and counter hacking attempts by adversaries like Mononobe. His efforts ensure Eden’s systems support Takizawa’s final strategy: connecting every phone in Japan, distributing symbolic funds, and facilitating a nationwide call for societal change. This action contributes to Mr. Outside’s decision to end the game.

Evolving from isolated hacker to integral team member, he applies his technical genius to support collective efforts against the Seleção's manipulations, enabling pivotal actions that shape the game's resolution.
