Jesco Wirthgen is a German actor and voice actor born on January 1, 1977, based in Berlin. His work in the field of dubbing extends beyond performance to include dialogue writing and dialogue direction. He has provided the German voice for a wide array of characters in both live-action and animated productions, including the role of Glenn Rhee in the series The Walking Dead.

Within anime, Wirthgen is recognized for his voice work in several notable series and films. He voices Itaru Hashida in the science fiction series Steins;Gate 0. In the Eden of the East franchise, he is the voice of Yutaka Itazu, a role he performed in the films The King of Eden and Paradise Lost, as well as the series Air Communication. He also voices Mansaku Matsuura in the drama series Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin.

Wirthgen has taken on roles in other prominent anime adaptations. He voices the character Taniguchi in both The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and its film sequel, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
