Description
Satoshi Osugi, a university graduate entangled in unrequited feelings for Saki Morimi, navigates his role within the Eden of the East initiative alongside a close-knit friend group. His simmering jealousy toward Akira Takizawa—who shares a growing bond with Saki—fuels repeated attempts to discredit him, including leveling false accusations of orchestrating the Careless Monday missile strikes and kidnapping 20,000 NEETs. These claims collapse when Saki exposes Takizawa’s true efforts to shield the victims, dismantling Osugi’s narrative.

Frequently embroiled in comedic mishaps, Osugi endures public embarrassment after being stood up by Saki, suffers mockery following a drunken case of mistaken identity, and faces the theft of his belongings—a blunder culminating in his accidental abduction by Kuroha Diana Shiratori, who mistakenly identifies him as a serial rapist.

Despite setbacks, his loyalty persists. He joins Saki in uncovering Takizawa’s origins by tracking down his estranged mother, Aya, showcasing his commitment to the group’s objectives. Osugi’s arc balances occasional pettiness with steadfast loyalty, his misguided rivalry with Takizawa waning as collective efforts pivot toward broader societal crises.

Physically, he sports short brown hair, brown eyes, and a preference for casual T-shirts, embodying a blend of teenage earnestness and relatable flaws. His persistence and vulnerability underscore a journey marked by misguided ambition, gradual growth, and an enduring, if complicated, dedication to his friends.
