Description
Hakurō, a Majin born as an ogre, forged his legacy through unparalleled swordsmanship long before Rimuru Tempest granted him a name. Initially appearing as a silver-haired elder with ivory horns and faintly silver-hued skin, he wore traditional robes and a face-concealing scarf. His evolution into a Kijin reshaped him into a middle-aged figure—sharper in feature, shorter-horned, and silver-goateed—clad in a white overcoat and scarf, extending his lifespan beyond 300 years.

Grandson of master swordsman Byakuya Araki, Hakurō once trained the Ogre Tribe’s royal guard and mentored Gazel Dwargo, future King of Dwargon, centuries earlier. Surviving past natural ogre longevity remained a mystery until Rimuru’s influence triggered his evolution. After orcs destroyed his village, he joined Rimuru’s nation, ascending to Chief Instructor of Tempest’s military and an executive role, drilling warriors in combat arts with relentless discipline.

Calm and analytical in battle, he rebukes those who call him “old man” with threats of grueling training or violence. Though stern as a teacher, he harbors a playful side, doting on his daughter while nudging her toward Benimaru’s attention—a blend of encouragement and overprotectiveness. His combat genius lets him dissect techniques and magic after brief observation, prioritizing honed skill over raw power.

During clashes with the Kingdom of Raja, he reunited with Hiiro, a surviving ogre from his village, mediating tensions between Hiiro and Geld, leader of the reformed orcs. Endowed with Tempest’s divine protection, resistance to spiritual assaults, and mastery of Fighting Spirit magic, he stands as a peerless “Sword Savant.”

Across conflicts and eras, Hakurō’s strategic insight and mentorship remain pillars of Tempest’s stability. His journey from ogre elder to Kijin advisor mirrors his narrative weight—a centuries-old warrior whose blade and wisdom adapt unyieldingly to safeguard his evolving world.
