Description
Rigur is a hobgoblin and a prominent figure within the Jura-Tempest Federation. He is the second son of Rigurd, the Federation's Prime Minister, and was named by Rimuru in honor of his deceased elder brother, who fell in battle against direwolves while defending their village.

Originally a goblin, he evolved into a hobgoblin after being named by Rimuru. His appearance is marked by a slim build, grey hair, light grey eyes, and a distinctive red bandana retained from his time as a goblin, serving as a visual link to his past.

Rigur is calm, diplomatic, and curious, with a strong sense of duty and unwavering loyalty to Rimuru and the Federation. His diplomatic nature makes him instrumental in negotiations and fostering relations with other nations. His curiosity drives him to explore new ideas, such as implementing advanced farming techniques observed during diplomatic exchanges, contributing to Tempest's prosperity.

After the defeat of the direwolves, Rimuru appointed him captain of the Goblin Riders. Following the Orc Lord incident, he voluntarily stepped down, recognizing Gobta's superior suitability for the role. He was then promoted to Head of Security, reporting directly to Benimaru and overseeing the nation's safety. He felt profound guilt following the Falmuth army's attack, which fell under his responsibility.

His diplomatic skills later earned him an assignment as a diplomat to the Beast Kingdom of Eurazania, with Benimaru as his escort. During the Falmuth attack on Tempest, Rigur joined the assault on the barrier-generating crystals. Deployed to the western sector, he and Gobta efficiently eliminated the guarding soldiers and destroyed the crystal before returning as ordered.

Rigur shares a close relationship with his father, Rigurd, who takes considerable pride in his son's accomplishments and growth into a respected and intelligent ambassador.

As a named monster, Rigur possesses notable combat capabilities. He demonstrated his proficiency during the Falmuth incident and resisted certain magical effects, such as Shuna's Forced Sleep spell. While his focus remains on administrative and diplomatic duties, he remains capable in defensive situations.
