Haruki Ishiya
Description
Haruki Ishiya is a Japanese voice actor born on January 14, 1992, in Miyazaki Prefecture. He is represented by the agency Office Osawa.
His path to becoming a voice actor began in junior high school when a friend invited him to help backstage at a children's theater company, sparking an interest in acting. He was also a dedicated runner during his school years. However, an arm injury he sustained in a competition during his second year of high school forced him to give up athletics. While recuperating in the hospital, he was deeply moved by the emotional delivery of a line from the character Hiroshi Nohara in the anime Crayon Shin-chan. This experience made him realize the power of voice acting to touch people's hearts and set him on his career path.
To achieve his goal, Ishiya saved money from part-time jobs to enroll in the Pro-Fit Voice Actor Training School. He successfully graduated and joined the agency Pro-Fit in February 2014. Following the announcement of Pro-Fit's closure, he transitioned to his current agency, Office Osawa, on January 1, 2022.
Ishiya's career began with minor roles in 2013, but he quickly gained recognition. A significant early role was Shuichi Tsukamoto in the Sound! Euphonium series starting in 2015. This marked his first recurring character and established him in a popular franchise. He continued to build his portfolio with substantial roles in major series, such as Chad Chadan in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Rigur in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. In 2017, he landed his first leading role as Tamotsu Denkigai in AKIBA'S TRIP -THE ANIMATION-.
Ishiya is known for his versatility, taking on a wide range of characters across different genres. He has voiced characters in numerous anime, including Jiro Yamada in the multimedia project Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-, Masato Oosuki in Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?, Daiya Irma in 86, and Tsurayuki Rokuonji in Remake Our Life!. His filmography also includes roles in Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life as Saneyasu Adachi, Try Knights as Shougo Tenkawa, and Full Dive as Martin. In addition to anime, he is active in video games, with notable roles such as Sebek Zigvolt in Disney: Twisted-Wonderland, Beryl Gut in Fate/Grand Order, and Ren Kisaragi in Helios Rising Heroes.
A significant achievement in Ishiya's career came in 2019 when he was a recipient of the Singing Award at the 13th Seiyu Awards as part of the cast for the Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- project. This award highlights his contribution to a project that blends voice acting with musical performance. Beyond his voice work, Ishiya is also active on YouTube, where he runs a personal channel named Stone谷春貴の話し場所 and has created a VTuber character, Tenjo Haruto, for his online activities. His hobbies include jogging, muscle training, and playing video games.
