Aoshi Sanada is a tall, muscular young man with short, spiky turquoise hair and sharp black eyes reminiscent of a cat's. He wears a tight black T-shirt featuring strategic cuttings at the abdomen and armpits, paired with protective armor on his left arm and legs.

As a second-class general of the Takeda Bushi—an order devoted to eradicating demonic Kishin—he deploys to Tatsuyama Town alongside fellow warriors to confront a Kishin incursion. During this campaign, he observes the rogue fighter Musashi, noting his incorporation of Bushi techniques but dismissing his unrefined style as unfit for their ranks. After Musashi flees the Takeda encampment, Aoshi presses for pursuit but is overruled by commander Naotora Takeda, who orders them to stand down. He later joins the victory celebration following the defeat of the Engoku Tengu Kishin.
