Aoshi Sanada is a tall, muscular young man with short, spiky turquoise hair and sharp black eyes reminiscent of a cat's. He wears a tight black T-shirt featuring strategic cuttings at the abdomen and armpits, paired with protective armor on his left arm and legs. Serving as a second-class general of the Takeda Bushi, an order devoted to eradicating demonic Kishin, he operates under the command of Naotora Takeda. Deployed to Tatsuyama Town to confront a Kishin incursion, he observes the rogue fighter Musashi, noting his incorporation of Bushi techniques but dismissing his unrefined style as unfit for their ranks. After Musashi flees the Takeda encampment, Aoshi presses for pursuit but is overruled by Naotora, who orders them to stand down. He later joins the victory celebration following the defeat of the Engoku Tengu Kishin.
