TV Special
Description
Warsman, born Nikolai Volkov, entered life as a cyborg because his father, Mikhailman, received cybernetic enhancements prior to his conception. Mikhailman later self-destructed after losing control in a match, and Nikolai's mother succumbed to illness soon after, leaving him orphaned. Mocked for his mechanical face during a childhood marked by poverty, he hid beneath a bag worn over his head.
Recruited by the KGB as a teenager, he endured brutal training and received the codename Warsman. Discovering their plan to use him as a weapon, he escaped only after being forced to kill his friend Kommandas. Rescued by Robin Mask disguised as Mr. Barracuda, Warsman was trained to defeat Kinnikuman. Beginning as a Brutal Chojin, he competed antagonistically in the 21st Chojin Olympics. Utilizing his retractable weapon system, the Bear Claws, he defeated opponents including Teapackman and Pentagon, and critically injured Ramenman, leaving him comatose. His demeanor remained cold and machine-like, communicating solely through robotic breathing sounds.
A pivotal shift occurred during his match against Kinnikuman. When Kinnikuman refused to stab him with his own claws, Warsman broke the Bear Claws in respect. Defeated, he transformed: abandoning brutal methods, regaining his speech, and becoming a Justice Chojin. Following his redemption, Warsman formed a close bond with Bibimba, who recognized his inherent kindness. He reconciled with his father figure, Robin Mask, and later mentored Robin’s son, Kevin Mask, even disguising himself as "Chloe" to train him.
His abilities feature the Bear Claws for combat and the inescapable Palo Special hold. His computer-brain provides precise tactical analysis but overheats after 30 minutes of continuous use, triggering shutdowns. Warsman frequently grappled with his dual identity, questioning whether he was more machine or human, especially evident during conflicts like his fight against Polarman.
In later arcs, Warsman died during a tag tournament but returned from the Chojin Graveyard. He joined Team Kinnikuman to support Kinnikuman's claim to the throne, demonstrating his loyalty. His character consistently evolved from a tormented outcast to a trusted ally, balancing his mechanical nature with a deepening sense of justice.
