Born from a rare Kabuto Medal discovered by Ikki, this medal grants Metabee access to the powerful but draining Medaforce beam attack and contributes to his initial rebellious, headstrong personality, causing frequent disobedience. Repeated robattles and shared challenges forged deep mutual trust. His fierce loyalty drives him to defend allies against overwhelming odds, exemplified when he piloted a Giant Metabee unit in a self-destruct sacrifice to save others, later being restored.

In *Medarot Damashii*, Metabee faced Kilobots—emotionless Medarots designed to cheat. After losing to Ginkai's Kilobot Desperado due to illicit tactics, Metabee received upgraded parts from Nae, Dr. Aki's granddaughter. These upgrades enabled "Medachange," unlocking new vehicular forms: Action Mode for high-speed movement and Demolition Mode for concentrated energy blasts. This adaptability proved critical to defeating Desperado and later aiding other KBT/KWG-types against the Kilobot Gryphon, though collective efforts only temporarily halted it.
