Description
Ikki Tenryou is an elementary school student and Medafighter who first acquired a Medabot after discovering a rare Kabuto Medal. He inserted the Medal into a KBT-type Medabot, Metabee, who became his primary partner. Their partnership started with difficulties due to Metabee’s strong-willed and independent nature, but through many Robattles, they forged a powerful bond built on mutual respect. Though Metabee sometimes questions Ikki’s strategic commands, they consistently cooperate with effectiveness.
After earlier adventures, Ikki further honed his skills as a Medafighter. He faced a new threat from the Death Medarot Company, which produced ruthless Medabots called Death Medarots or Kilobots. Devoid of emotion and programmed to win by any means, including cheating, these robots targeted Ikki and Metabee to undermine their honor-based approach to Robattling.
Amid this conflict, Ikki received help from a mechanic named Nae, who supplied him with a new Medarotch and upgraded parts for Metabee, transforming him into a new model known as Saikachis. These enhancements were vital to confront the formidable and unethical Death Medarots. The principal antagonist was Kokuryuu Kamizake, a boy who advocated for the Death Medarots and aimed to demonstrate their superiority.
Ikki took on the role of opposing the spread of Death Medarots and defending the traditional spirit of Robattling. He was supported by others who resisted the Death Medarots, including a mysterious Medafighter using a Medabot named Dorcus, later revealed to be Ikki’s classmate Yuuzuru. Another initial foe, Ginkai, first employed Death Medarots but eventually regained his honor and switched sides, joining as an ally.
The conflict intensified when Kokuryuu developed a special Death Medarot named Blackbeetle, fitted with an experimental Medal that endowed her with emotions and personality. Despite her efforts, Kokuryuu treated her as expendable. The climax occurred at the Death Medarot Company headquarters, where Ikki, Ginkai, and Yuuzuru collaborated to rescue Blackbeetle after her Medal was transferred into an overpowered model called Grain. Their actions during a destructive fire prompted Kokuryuu to reconsider his path; he ultimately accepted Blackbeetle as his partner and renounced his destructive ambitions.
