Chyron operated as a redpill operator for a human Resistance group focused on converting Machines to fight for humanity. His duties involved meticulously coordinating operations to lure, trap, and ambush target Machines into their concealed base. Captured Machines were offered a choice via the Matriculation program, jacking them into a simulated reality crafted to build empathy and encourage voluntary alliance with humans.

During one mission, Resistance fighter Alexa successfully drew a pair of Runners into the base. Unknown to the group, one Machine secretly planted a beacon transmitting their location. While the Resistance ambushed the Runners—destroying one and paralyzing the other—the beacon alerted Machines to the base's coordinates. Chyron initiated Matriculation with the surviving Runner, jacking himself, Alexa, and other crew members into the simulation. Midway through the conversion attempt, the base was assaulted by Machines responding to the beacon.

Chyron instantly disconnected from Matriculation and seized a lightning rifle. He fought to defend the base, saving Resistance fighter Raul during the combat. Despite this, the attacking Machines overpowered the defenders, leading to Chyron and the entire crew's demise.
