Jin Yamanoi is a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Tokyo, born on November 16, 1962. He is affiliated with Kakehi Production and is married to fellow voice actress Tomoe Hanba. Before entering the voice acting industry, he attended Joetsu University of Education and worked as a teacher for kindergarten through second grade, as well as a stage actor. His career in voice acting began in the 1990s, and he has since built a diverse portfolio across anime, video games, and dubbing for foreign films.

Yamanoi is known for his deep, resonant voice, which allows him to portray a wide range of characters, from heroes to villains and from young men to seasoned veterans. In anime, he has taken on numerous roles. He voiced Starscream and Shockwave in the Transformers: Armada series. He is the regular dubbing voice for actors such as David Harbour and Eric Bana. Some of his prominent dubbing roles include Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) in The Godfather Part II, Bud (Russell Crowe) in L.A. Confidential, and Ghostface in the Scream film series. He has also dubbed roles for actors like Will Smith in Seven Pounds, Vin Diesel in Saving Private Ryan, and Sean Bean in Silent Hill.

In the realm of video games, Yamanoi has contributed his voice to several major titles. He is well-known for voicing the character Li Long in the weapons-based fighting game Soul Edge. He also voiced the character Gala in the role-playing game Legend of Legaia and has frequently played the role of Rolento in the Street Fighter series, including in Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultra Street Fighter IV.
