Description
Kyōko Inaba, a central figure in class 5-3 at Dōmori Elementary, sports vibrant orange-red twintails and sharp blue eyes, typically dressed in a striped sando, short shorts, and a pink jacket. Her bold, supportive demeanor drives her to aid classmates and teachers against supernatural dangers, though her rivalry with Miki Hosokawa sparks playful clashes over looks and Hiroshi Tateno’s attention. This tension fuels comedic bets, such as Kyōko’s agreement to perform a swimsuit dance if Miki plays piano.

Rescued from demonic possession by Meisuke Nueno in childhood, she remains fiercely loyal to him. Over time, her competitive fixation on Hiroshi evolves into genuine affection. A supernatural mishap briefly transforms her into a Futakuchi-Onna after hosting a starving spirit, leaving her with a bloated stomach remedied by rigorous exercise.

Twelve years later, Kyōko returns to Dōmori Elementary as a teacher in *Jigoku Sensei Nube Neo*, embracing a more mature role. Her bond with Hiroshi deepens, leading to plans for an Italian wedding, contrasting her earlier tomboyish energy. A flashback in *Reibaishi Izuna: Ascension* revisits her during an alternate timeline tied to Nube’s presumed demise.

Despite her resolve, Kyōko struggles with swimming and cooking. Her dynamic with Miki oscillates between camaraderie and rivalry, often fixating on romantic tensions and physical comparisons. The live-action adaptation notably swaps her signature twintails with Miki’s hairstyle, altering her original design.
