Description
Ban, the Fox’s Sin of Greed, stands as a towering, muscular figure distinguished by light cyan hair, magenta-red eyes, and a jagged scar across his jaw and neck—a permanent reminder of his clash with Meliodas. His wardrobe shifts through crimson leather armor, a deep burgundy coat, and a jacket patterned with Purgatory-born leopards, crafted during his millennia-long ordeal in that realm.

Raised in the brutal streets of Ravens, Ban survived childhood abuse and theft, landing in Aberdeen Prison before Zhivago, a thief-mentor, offered fleeting refuge. Their bond shattered when Zhivago abandoned him to save his own son, cementing Ban’s cynical self-reliance.

Desperate to escape his grim reality, Ban infiltrated the Fairy King’s Forest, where he crossed paths with Elaine, guardian of the Fountain of Youth. Hostility turned to devotion when a demon assault forced Elaine to sacrifice herself, transferring immortality to Ban through a final kiss. He avenged her, planted the Almoca Seed to revive the forest, and endured 33 wrongful executions for her murder, surviving each due to his new curse.

Meliodas recruited him into the Seven Deadly Sins after a brutal duel, leveraging Ban’s hunger for challenge. His immortality and combat skill proved invaluable, though his greed-fueled impulsiveness sometimes clashed with the group. Yet loyalty surfaced when he risked everything to save Elaine’s soul, later chasing relics like the Horn of Cernunnos and braving Purgatory’s horrors to resurrect her.

Trapped in Purgatory for millennia, Ban battled endlessly alongside Meliodas’s emotional shadow, suffering 6,093 defeats over 60 years. They forged weapons from native beasts, allied with Wild—a Hawk-like entity—and waged a final showdown against the Demon King, costing Ban an arm before victory.

Post-escape, spin-offs expanded his story, depicting fatherhood and his undying bond with Elaine across anime, films, and manga. Card games immortalized their tragic romance, echoing his relentless drive to reunite with her.

Ban’s arc weaves greed with sacrifice, immortalized through love for Elaine and allegiance to allies. His journey—from thief to redeemed hero—charts a path from selfishness to purpose, etching a legacy of resilience across lifetimes.
