Description
Nouza holds the rank of North General in the Darius Empire's military. He embodies the Proud Warrior Race Guy archetype, believing knights find meaning only in battle, reflecting his Blood Knight nature. Initially a primary adversary to the Daiku Maryu crew and a rival to protagonist Daiya Tsuwabuki, he operates under East General Proist's command. Brainwashing artificially enforces his loyalty to Proist, suppressing his dissent after he uncovers unsettling truths about her leadership. This conditioning causes Out-of-Character behavior, including dishonorable tactics that alert Daiya to his compromised state.
A significant revelation exposes Nouza as an Artificial Human, specifically Proist's clone. His existence serves the grim purpose of providing spare biological parts for Proist, making him a living organ bank in a skewed Prince and Pauper dynamic. Initially unaware of this role, Proist later taunts him with his artificial nature and expendability, catalyzing his disillusionment with the Darius Empire and Proist.
Triggered by the revelation of Proist's true nature and manipulation, Nouza executes a Heel–Face Turn, defecting from the Darius Empire and aligning with the Daiku Maryu crew. He becomes the pilot of the Raiking mecha, one of the Three Dragon Ships. During his confrontation with Proist, he strategically lures her into a vulnerable position before springing a trap that inflicts severe damage. He then weaponizes Daiya Tsuwabuki's earlier philosophical assertion against her: "You don't win because you're strong. The ones who don't give up, are the ones who win in the end," symbolizing his ideological shift.
His arc concludes with him formally joining the Daiku Maryu crew. As Raiking's pilot, he participates in the final battles against the Darius Empire, wielding the mecha's signature "Lightning Death Storm" and "Electro Blazer" attacks. He also commands the wyvern-shaped Dragon Ship Tenkū Maryū, which is eventually captained by his former loyal subordinate, Kain.
