Ashura is a young girl, aged 12-15, chosen by the god Asura King, imbuing her with potent supernatural abilities. Discovered by the secret Japanese demon-hunting organization Ura-Kōya in a village where her spiritual powers provoked local fear and hatred, she arrived as an established outcast. Her personality is rebellious and feisty, prone to jealousy, especially concerning her romantic feelings for the protagonist Kujaku. She is obsessed with fashion, frequently altering her appearance and changing her natural blond hair.

Ashura wields pyrokinetic abilities, generating and controlling fire. She also produces and transfers vast amounts of spiritual energy to allies, acting as a crucial power source during supernatural battles.
