Description
Gally, originally named Yoko, is a cyborg whose core consciousness persists across multiple bodies and identities. Discovered as an intact head and chest in a scrapyard by cybernetics physician Daisuke Ido, he revived her and named her after his deceased pet cat. Amnesia initially erased her past, though she instinctively retained mastery of the Martian cyborg martial art Panzer Kunst, which she uses in life-threatening combat.
Her background reveals she has been a cyborg since "birth," originating as a maske tumor extracted from a woman named Nollin Sonann on Mars and grafted into a mechanical body under the experiment codename HK-BR035. As a young child in the Martian city of Cydonia, Baron Muster named her Yoko and forced her into political conspiracies, including a near-execution via minefield. Rescued by Panzer Kunst warriors, she was later raised alongside her companion Erica. After living under the care of Kyoko Bima—who developed maternal bonds with her—Yoko's life was disrupted by Erica's betrayal and Kyoko's death, leading to her recruitment into the Kammer Gruppe as "Yoko von der Rasierklinge." Trained by Meister Gelda and other Kunstlers, she participated in Operation Maulwurf, targeting Earth's orbital infrastructure. During this mission, her comrades were ambushed, and she crash-landed on Earth, resulting in the amnesiac state Ido found her in.
After revival, Gally's personality evolved from initial naivety and docility to fierce determination and emotional resilience. Experiences like becoming a hunter-warrior, tracking bounties and severing criminals' heads, shaped her. Her relationship with human scavenger Hugo profoundly impacted her; his death during an attempt to reach the floating city of Zalem/Tiphares led to introspection and career shifts, including becoming a professional Motorball player nicknamed "Killing Angel." She later retired to work as a singer at Bar New Kansas, showcasing musical ability with keyboards and harmonica. Subsequent roles included serving as a TUNED agent (codenamed A-1 or "Angel of Death") for the Tiphares Ground Investigation Bureau, unknowingly becoming the template for the TUNED AR Series 2 androids. During this time, she exhibited a spiteful, combat-reveling persona before regaining empathy through relationships like her bond with Figure Four.
Gally utilized multiple cyborg bodies: a basic civilian body destroyed early in her hunter-warrior career; the combat-oriented "Berserker Body" equipped by Ido after her first body's destruction; a purple-hued Motorball body optimized for speed, featuring wrist-mounted "Damascus Blades" later reforged into a single blade; the nanotechnology-based "TUNED body" enabling supersonic movement and satellite-linked operations, marked by permanent eye black; and the self-regenerating "Imaginos Body" (and later "Imaginos 2.0"), capable of generating nanomachine-based blades and a prehensile tail.
Her abilities expanded beyond Panzer Kunst to include plasma manipulation techniques like "Plasma Bissen" and "Plasma Boost," as well as advanced hacking after fusing with the relic "Fata Morgana," linking her directly to the quantum supercomputer Melchizedek. In later years, she wielded a sentient cannon named Danko, engineered with Berserker cells.
Gally's appearance consistently features a youthful female form with shoulder-length dark hair, a fair-skinned face, metallic-gray limbs, and a height of approximately 150 cm (4'11"). Outfits varied: casual wear in her first body; a hunter-warrior ensemble with a trench coat and fingerless gloves; Motorball gear including purple armor marked "99"; and a TUNED-agent bodysuit with armor and cape. The "octopus lips" descriptor referenced her distinctive pout. She appeared in a fully human form only twice: during a TUNED recruitment dream sequence and in an epilogue where she was regenerated as a flesh-and-blood woman after fusing with a space elevator's support structure.
In her post-amnesia life, Gally spearheaded the "Space Angels" team during the Zenith of Things Tournament, integrating replicas of herself. Her journey culminated in a return to Mars to resolve conflicts with surviving Panzer Kunst practitioners, confronting conspiracies tied to her origins and her estranged relationship with Erica.
