Description
Shigeru Akamatsu founded and presides over Akamatsu Industries, producing diverse goods from toys to military weaponry. Renowned for his inventive mind, he personally designs many company innovations. His lineage identifies him as Liger Shishioh's son and Sakura Akamatsu's father. Dedication to his enterprise caused marital strain, leading to his wife's departure—a circumstance still impacting him.

Akamatsu Industries partners with the Algernon research institute Mode Warp, co-developing Kakuseijin (Neuronoid) mecha units. Shigeru actively aids efforts against the Algernon phenomenon through technological expertise and resources. His inventions span practical tools like rocket-powered skateboards and spring-loaded shoes, plus defensive gear such as "Barrier Boy" headbands shielding against Algernon's psychic influences. Upgraded "Laser Head" headbands later bolster defense against direct psychic assaults.

Shigeru's bond with daughter Sakura remains pivotal. Her fragile health and link to the "Limpid Channel"—enabling perception of ambient consciousness—require the Manage Machine medical device. His Mode Warp involvement partly stems from securing this technology for her care. Despite professional demands, he displays protective concern for Sakura and employees.

Post-Algernon crisis, Shigeru assumes leadership in Gutsy Global Guard (GGG). He directs the GGG Marine Refuge Base, then becomes chief officer of GGG Blue after orchestrating a buyout during restructuring. In this role, he oversees strategic operations and resource integration, collaborating with entities like Betterman against existential threats.

During the *King of Kings: GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman* events, Shigeru applies industrial and tactical expertise to global emergencies. He facilitates expansions like establishing the GGG Green subdivision and supports daughter Sakura's membership. His leadership emphasizes adaptability, unifying human and Betterman resources against apocalyptic foes.

Shigeru exhibits an eccentric yet pragmatic demeanor, often conversing casually amid high-stakes scenarios. He shares interests like military tech and gaming with younger colleagues. Associates typically address him as "Boss," and he frequently wears a jumpsuit, gloves, and a distinctive mustache.
