Description
Taishi Takamura enters history as a teenager during World War II. Amidst an attack on their train, his father, Professor Tatsushi Takamura, entrusts him with a critical black case containing control technology for a Geo-Armor robot. Taishi witnesses his father's immediate death at the hands of the Kanto Army seconds later. Orphaned, he flees with the case, encountering both extraterrestrial invaders and the Allied-affiliated Kishin Corps. The Corps intervenes, protecting him from the pursuing Kanto Army and hostile aliens, marking the start of his involvement with them.
Throughout the conflict, Taishi matures from a vulnerable youth into an active pilot within the Kishin Corps. He operates the Titan, a giant mecha powered by recovered alien Kishin modules. These modules bond spiritually with pilots, creating a living interface that extends their motor functions. His personal history intertwines deeply with the Corps' battles against the Axis-aligned extraterrestrial threat. He marries Maria Braun, twin sister of Eva Braun, who is profoundly affected by Eva's suicide mission to assassinate Hitler after her involvement in providing the Nazis with Kishin technology.
The war culminates in a cataclysmic battle where the Kishin Corps and Allied forces deploy a devastating cobalt-layered atomic device through an alien dimensional gate. This action annihilates the extraterrestrial homeworld, permanently halting the invasion at immense cost. Post-war, the Kishin Corps is disbanded, its existence and sacrifices largely erased from history, and the surviving Kishin technology is sealed away.
Decades later, Taishi is the last surviving member of the Kishin Corps. Severely aged and debilitated, he requires a wheelchair and constant medical care, showing signs of advanced frailty and cognitive decline. He carries profound guilt over the genocide committed against the alien species.
Near the end of his life, he recounts this hidden history to Nabiki, whom he initially mistakes for Bareiho, a figure from his past. After sharing his story and expressing his regrets, he experiences a profound release. His subsequent passing is implied shortly after this final act of testimony.
