Description
Charlotte, daughter of Peacebuilding Forces soldier David and Hemiteos Unit researcher Jessica, grew up in refuge camps until the Education Institution raided their home. The raid forcibly separated Charlotte and Jessica from David, who believed them dead. Smiley, the Institution's leader, manipulated Charlotte by falsely declaring David deceased and positioning himself as her stepfather and intended mate. Resisting Smiley's exploitation, Jessica sabotaged Charlotte's Hemiteos Unit conversion, causing it to fail before attempting escape. The escape failed; Jessica, in desperation, tried to kill Charlotte before committing suicide, inflicting severe psychological trauma that Smiley exploited to brainwash Charlotte into his loyal servant. Despite the sabotage, Charlotte's body became a pseudo-Hemiteos Unit.

As a child, Charlotte dressed in casual clothing: a plaid shirt, baseball hat, and glove. By 2062, she wore a modified Education Institution uniform with white shoulder armor, leg guards, a cape, and a gold-lined tabard over a white string bikini. Her primary weapon was a dual-barrel gun with blades that could split into two firearms. Later, she adopted casual attire—a long coat, scarf, and boots—and wielded a spear in combat.

Charlotte displayed a silent, stoic demeanor, especially near Smiley, whose orders she followed unquestioningly, driven by a desire for his approval. Her missions included intercepting Empress near the Orbital Elevator in 2062: she halted a Peacebuilding Forces convoy with airstrikes, mocked Empress's perceived weakness, and swiftly defeated Dead Master. Empress destroyed Charlotte's weapon, forcing her retreat. Charlotte later tracked Empress to the Peacebuilding Force Memorial Library and destroyed the resident robot, Andy.

During the assault on Lighthouse No. 8, Charlotte encountered her father but failed to recognize him due to brainwashing. She attempted to kill him but was overpowered and subdued by Empress. Placed in a reconditioning pod to remove enhancements, Charlotte awoke and held Monica at knifepoint, still insisting her father was dead. The pivotal moment came when she stabbed the Colonel during a cave-in and witnessed him shielding her from falling debris. This sacrifice finally broke her brainwashing, allowing her to recognize him.

Charlotte and her father shared a brief reunion. Noticing her retained pseudo-Hemiteos capabilities, the Colonel instructed her to retreat with logistics personnel during the assault on the Orbital Elevator. Disregarding orders, she piloted a jet fighter drone back to rescue him. Her aircraft was shot down near his position; the Colonel sustained a fatal wound trying to reach her. After his death, Monica and Norito extracted Charlotte. As they departed, they observed Empress destroying the Orbital Elevator. Fifty years later, Charlotte received the codename "Temperance" from Monica and participated in a major spaceborne counterattack operation against Artemis.
